She crossed all stages of grief and anger and found peace

She's a saint for not being even a teeny bit angry.

After 12 miles? She was confused at first, then upset, then angry, outrage, exhausted, scared, and just relief to see him again by the time he found her.

This man automatically loses any argument with his wife from now on 😂

“Why did you leave your clothes on the floor?!”

“Why did you make me walk 12 miles?!”

I did this too. My mother and I shared a duplex and worked at the same place. I had been working overtime lately so we got used to taking separate cars. We walked out at the same time. She was walking slowly talking to other people. I got in my car, waved at her and drove home. When I pulled up into the driveway I saw her car. I freaked out and started driving back to pick her up. I passed her on the way as the friend decided to give her a ride home. I was panicked on how she would respond. She laughed it off and it became a running gag between us. "you left me at work... at work."

She passed away in 2015. This story made me smile as I could relate and remember the funny story.

This is why communication is key. Also, situational awareness is needed... For both of them.

She says she wasnt angry. But he mysteriously disappeared that day, so we only have her word for it.

I'm no saint, but after 12 miles of walking, I'd have calmed down too and maybe even laugh depending on how much my SO was apologizing 😂

Back in 1985 my dad's station wagon broke down. Out in the middle of nowhere, about 30 miles from the house. He hitched a ride home. Then him, his brother-in-law, and my mom left to pick up the car. They get to the car my uncle fixed the wagon on the side of the road. So my dad jumps in the car and starts driving, thinking my mom is riding with my uncle. My uncle thought she was riding with my dad. They got to the house and both started freaking out realizing they had left my mom on the side of the road. By the time they got to where the car had broken down it was dark and like 20 *. After that my mom would say to my dad everytime she got in the car, don't forget me. And then they would both break out laughing.

I'm glad she was OK. Probably tired from walking twelve miles.😊

She might’ve said she wasn’t that angry at the end, but best believe she’ll never forget

My great great grandparents drove their buckboard to town to get supplies once. He went to the General Store or something and she went somewhere else. He totally forgot that she was with him and started the horses back home without her. It wasn't until he got back to the farm and couldn't find her that he remembered that she had gone with him to town! He got the horses hitched back up to the buckboard and went back to town and found her walking along the road.

She was really angry.

This was around 1890.

That's why communication is so important!

To not be mad at an honest (albeit stupid) mistake is true marriage goals. So many people freak out over minutiae these days.

Lol she had 12miles to cool off. I wouldn’t be mad after that either 😂

This is why you should ALWAYS check if your passengers are still there.

If you want to avoid this, just lock yourself in the trunk of your car. That way you can never accidentally escape!
