Personally I wouldn't put a hefty deposit down on a financed car. £1000 deposit generally removes £20 per month off the monthly figure. so 20K deposit would be £400 per month cheaper, however you would have to keep the car for over 4 years to see that money back. For it to be financially viable with the huge interest figures at the moment, I would put down a low deposit and pick a car with low depreciation, that way you can offset the interest that's loaded onto the finance! (That being said, companies like magnitude will carefully examine Supercar depreciation and will look for the car back after a year or two)
