As a fan of the books, I gotta admit I was squealing like an idiot when I saw what they did with the Great Tree. I mean LOOK AT THIS THING! Look at the layout! Look at the colors! Look at the angels! It looks fucking AMAZING!!!

I love how they portrayed the snowy owls in this scene. Their royalty shone beautiful- *true* royalty! They carried with them an air of power, grace, nobility and benevolence. Amazing.

The books are dark, sometimes very dark but I love how they made the film child friendly. Sure, it no longer stayed completely true to the books, but I'm still satisfied with this version.
