@NoZite79 no, you don't need kinect. you can do everything with the controller it's only that the developers think that the kinect is "cooler" so they give OPTIONS to use it. (sry for my english).

@DanHibikiFan Yes, I figuired as much. I was just having fun with your lack of defined antecedents.
The gameplay did admittedly seem a bit twitchy, but Ubisoft probably picked an eventful demo to make an impact on the press, even if its fans are going to be a bit disappointed initially.
You may be right, but I wouldn't dismiss it outright.

@bizzz461 I'm a PC gamer but from what I can tell: the kinect is too slow to use in gameplay (look how badly he's shooting in the video) but it will have some nice features like the one seen in the video. Buying kinect only for the weponsmith? I don't think so, but the kinect also have other uses as well so think about that before you buy/ don't buy anything. In the botton line, the controller is better to play the game with, while the kinect is cool for weponsmith (also menu options etc.).

@YsoSerious77 Actually it does. Coordinating attacks, Precision, High-Tech Gear, What will you be looking at for ammo such as the HUD mostly built in to a device on the gun itself. etc.

@fastfredfilms i think it means that u get MORE stuff with the pre order for customization and the people at game stop said that if u pre order u get over 42 head gear and ALOT of other things so it sounds like a great deal i already got mine :)

@DanHibikiFan Each of those were individual levels in much larger games that featured the stealth as an event, not a gameplay gimmick. And yes, this video was scripted like all trailers and cinematics are...you may have overlooked that.

@kinectaddict yeah it looks like its gonna be a sick game, and it got delayed big time then because at 1 point it was goin to be released on the 2o somthin of september this year if i remember correctly :)

its funny cuz ive known about this game for some time now... like back in early-middle 2010 in a gaming magazine. it seems they've pushed the release date back 3 times now.... i wonder what happened for it to be pushed from late 2010 to the beginning of 2011 and now to march 2012 :/ if you ask me, the last two dates are a big leap... and since they haven't actually released in-game footage it'll probably longer than that... possibly may or june, maybe longer.... just thinking out loud here ;)

@bizzz461 If you have extra 50$ to spare, than yes. If you don't have much money, than no because the kinect don't have any gameplay value, it's a cool "bonus". You decide: woul'd you pay extra 10$ for the game to get an in-game Sam Fisher (splinter cell) skin? If you woul'd, buy the kinect because it's cool like the skin. If you think that character skin is waste of money, don't buy it because in the bottom line it doesn't effect the gamplay (controller is better for shooting).

you can access the beta with an Xbox live or ps3 live go on to splinter cell conviction on April 12 and it should be there if not check the next day if u don't have splinter cell conviction the beta will come out on April 17 the splinter cell conviction game gives u early access

@ZukaZumamee There are stealth missions in COD. MW's mission "All Ghillied Up" was entirely about not being seen, as was the first portions of MW2's"Contingency" and Black Ops' "WMD." This was scripted just like COD. If you knew anything about previous Ghost Recon games (especially OGR, Island Thunder, and Desert Siege) then you would see this game for what it is - a scripted and linear corridor shooter attempting to snag the casual crowd. You lose, good day sir.
