Quinn Ewers has finally come out and said why he decided to transfer from Ohio State to the University of Texas. The former 5-star 1.0000 recruit is originally from Southlake, Texas but decided to leave the Buckeyes after his first year with the team. Yesterday he sat down for his first interview and finally revealed why.

Texas fired Tom Herman because he created a culture that was toxic and we were losing more and more recruits as a result. Not to mention the fact we were underperforming year after year after year.
Sark is raw as a head coach, but he is finally addressing the fact we need a top tier offensive line because in the trenches, we have been softer than a box of baby wipes. We have arguably the best backfield in the Big 12 and possibly the nation (not named Alabama) and we failed so many times to block for Bijan, Roschon and Hudson was suffocated everytime he stepped onto the field.
Sark better be the guy to bring us back from the dead, because he is going to be the guy for the next 3-4 years whether we like it or not. And from what I’ve heard from some of the players and seeing how fluid their offense COULD be last year when things were just being introduced, he might be. We just need patience and let Rojo, Bijan and Johnathan Brooks take the pressure of carrying the team off Ewers and Cards shoulders.

I expect Texas to be better than last year, but not competing for a league title.

He left OSU because Devin Brown committed. Let's be real. Brown allegedly out dueled him in a couple different QB camps in highschool. I don't think he cared to sit for one more year behind CJ. The OSU wr room is crazy and will be for years so he'd have options all over the field and OSU has proven they send players to the NFL. He was worried that even after cj he may get beat out by Devin Brown anyway. Quinn is undoubtedly talented however he does have accuracy issues. Not sure why or what it is but he sometimes just misses his targets. After watching the spring game that still hasn't changed it seems. I wish the best for him though. He'll be missing out on a couple championship runs with the buckeyes.

He was offered a lot of money. Stop trying to make excuses.

Everyone is gonna say what they want. But IMO.. Quinn Ewers is gonna light the scoreboard up his first season, and it will only get better from there. He may even bring the NATTY back to TEXAS before he turns pro.

The guy wanted that NIL money, got it, and ran back home. He knew EXACTLY what he was going to do back in high school and I'm sure his family and whomever helps him with financial decisions, were in on it.

Everyone knows Ewers wanted to go to Texas Tech with his BFF Boyd, who transferred from Minnesota to Tech. But donors at UT paid him millions of $$$. I heard he was going to to Tech but the donors outbid Texas Tech and it was so much money it was life changing. No one blames him. He also grew up a a longhorn fan as a kid so it was fine to go there, even though as an adult he bleeds red and black. Not burnt orange
