cat licks lemon

while I am aware lemons are toxic for cats/dogs. so please dont blast me down with hate. it was just a few licks and I belive I know my cat well enough to know her limits. she started licking a piece my mother dropped on the floor and I have never seen a cat like citrus things so I wanted to share while this is still humorous and odd. Midna's is in good health and has never had any issues after sampling something new (within reason)

I see people commenting how lemons are toxic for cats and dogs. Chocolate in particular, are harmful for dogs. However, my dog has been stealing my chocolate and has been eating them ever since he was 5 months old. Now he’s 16 years old and healthy. I also check with the vets almost every week and they say he’s perfectly fine. So maybe some dogs and cats can handle some of those things? Still, my dog is still alive and healthy after all that chocolate. Bro is just built different

I don't think cats have the right tastebuds to sense the bitter sour of a lemon. Also don't give your cats lemons or lemon juice, it's toxic to them.
