PUBLIC DEMAND: NEW NEXON EV 45 - RANGE TEST

I'm an owner of curvv.ev myself. I own the Emp+A 55 variant. Have been driving since almost 2 months and close to 3500 kms in the ODO. I'm based in Bhubaneswar and mine was the first currv.ev to be delivered in the state of Odisha. And I have driven 360kms on a single charge and I had 21% battery still remaining. This was in one go. The max I have gotten is 408kms with 14% charge remaining from 100% SOC and over a period of 3-4 days.
I can safely say I get a range of 430-450kms. But yes I felt in the city mode it gives more range than the ECO mode. When I started watching the video, I thought you will make 400 easily, but that wasn't the case. Surprised really!

With due respect, people will only remember the range anxiety and nervousness exhibited by the rider and not the comfort of the drive. It is important that you highlight the fact that you drove uphill twice at a good speed - which eats up the battery fast.

I think, for a range test the route followed in video is pretty harsh for a EV. First climb to lavasa then 2 times climb to amby vally and then agen lonavala ghat climb...I guess that's roughly 1500-2000mtrs of elevation gain all put together ...with that height gains, if Curve is able to do 380km, I guess in flat city environment it can easily do 430-450

Don't know what is the reason for such a low range that you are getting. My friend who owns this Car could easily achieve 390 with 10% battery left at an average speed of 80 to 90 km.per hour..

Why isn't the watts/km shown, any reason, since the drivers efficiency marker is preciely energy consuned per unit distance and also for the machine.

Rather than v2l, just tag it and drag it with a lorry or another car, one of our group (tiago ev with innova ) when he had a issue like this and it worked, he actually got 20min drive he got 14 percent charge

Car windows were open towards the end. Did AC switched off automatically after less than 20% charge?

Best way to drive a ev to get good range is to just switch off regen, switch in city mode and maintain speed under 80- 90.

Curvv can easily get 400 to 420kms. Battery should not be given much work while driving then we can get good range.

Just 2 points: 1. How much it would give with 100-120 kmph speed ? 2. The new car is 380 kms . Like mobile batteries, will come to say 150 after 2 years ?

Viewers felt the Range Anxiety 😅
My Tiago ICE does 600+ kms easily with full tank and all 4 passengers

I would like to know the range if the curv has atleast 3 people(including driver), mixed road like u did in this video which includes avg speed of 75-85kmph on highway(not constant 90-100kmph)😅

Bcz if we are travelling with family, definitely the elders aren't gonna allow us to drive over 80kmph right😅

Genuine question - Is the most top-of-mind question on a new or future EV buyer how the car drives/fares in the city or is it how do I drive 300 kms far far far away from the city knowing fully well that the charging infrastructure outside big cities is unreliable at best and absent at worst? Why are these kinds of road / range tests so important for auto reviewers other than for entertainment purposes only? Are people who do any reasonable amount of highway driving really running to EV showrooms?

Do one with 70kmph as constant speed with the lightest throttle

You said there are no chargers between Lonavala and Pune? In fact there’s one right at the foodmall after Talegaon toll and at
least 5 more before the one you went to. One at the Kia showroom where the other Nexon joined you guys and one more at the opposite side of the highway at Citroen showroom. I get that you needed to run the car down to the minimum possible charge, but saying there are no chargers is just dishonest I feel.

Super cool test. Watching the video is full of thrill and at the same time very much informative. This video is more thrilling and challenging than the one the duo (+ Tushar) did for Ioniq 5.
