How to change a front shock strut on BMW 3 (E36) 2.5 Hatchback 1990–1998 [TUTORIAL AUTODOC]

Shock strut on BMW 3 Convertible (E36) (03.1993–04.1999) / BMW 3 Coupe (E36) (03.1992–04.1999) / BMW 3 Touring (E36) (01.1995–10.1999) / BMW Z3 Coupe (E36) (07.1997–06.2003) / BMW Z3 Roadster (E36) (10.1995–01.2003) cars should be changed, as a rule, according to one and the same procedure.
However, there can be slight differences due to specific features of the vehicle design.

0:00 — BMW 3 (E36) – suspension struts: step-by-step replacement tutorial
1:15 — Unscrew the wheel bolts.
2:05 — Unscrew the fasteners connecting the suspension strut to the steering knuckle.
2:53 — Remove the strut piston rod nut.
7:55 — Tighten the lower fasteners connecting the shock strut to the steering knuckle.
8:59 — Screw in the wheel bolts.

helpful video, except I believe the torque specs are incorrect and there's only 4 wheel lug nuts!

Have you ever done that for VW parati or pointer
The strut is a lot different as it is not a complete strut replacement

May I confirm how much torque for bolts into knuckle? In the video, it indicated 70Nm but I saw Bmw z3 manual that says 107Nm.

Yes, the drive sockets. I’ve never seen something like that. Also, in the US what is the equivalent of copper grease?

Guys anyone can help me find those tools at 4:00 . I ordered two shocks struts from auto doc but I can’t find anywhere this type of drive sockets.

Torque specs are wrong. All three bolts that hold the strut to the knuckle are 107Nm. And the top 3 nuts are 24Nm.
