Zambezi Zinger - Coming to Worlds of Fun in 2023 | New Wooden Roller Coaster

Показать описание
Zambezi Zinger is a one-of-a-kind hybrid roller coaster attraction with a combined 2,428 feet [740 m] of classic wooden roller coaster track and Titan Track. Titan Track is a weld-free roller coaster track designed by Skyline and manufactured by GCII. Likewise, the ride’s structure combines wooden and steel supports, including an iconic spiral lift structure that stands 74 feet [22.6 m] tall. The new Zambezi Zinger roller coaster was designed as an homage to the former Worlds of Fun roller coaster bearing the same name. The original Zambezi Zinger operated from 1973 through 1997 and entertained generations of Worlds of Fun visitors. The ride combined low-to-the-ground curves, thrilling drops, and an unexpected tunnel – all elements retained with the new incarnation of the popular ride. The new ride is partially located on land where the previous iteration operated while also expanding onto the other side of the park’s railroad attraction and utilizing terrain that is currently undeveloped.

Glad for Worlds of Fun, they've needed a new coaster for years. Now if Cedar Fair could just add something for Dorney...

As a KC resident, the original Zinger was the very first coaster I ever rode. I am beyond excited they’re going to be installing a reboot.

I used to go to Worlds of Fun a bunch as a kid since I grew up in Nebraska. I remember the original Zambezi Zinger and how it had no restraints. I'm sure you can't get away with that these days, but cool that they are bringing this back. Next time I'm in KC for business or something, I'll stop by WOF.

GCI's first ever full on Titan Track coaster. I can't wait to see inversions utilizing this track sometime soon.

This looks fantastic! If you ever make it to Colombia in south America you can still ride the OG Zinger.

Finally, I've been going to adventureland and there's been like one new rollercoaster every other year, good that something's happening with this place for once

I don't think anyone expected this for worlds of fun. That being said, when is Orient Express getting a remake lol?

Would love to see Worlds of Fun get a launched Gerstlauer Infinity someday, but they really need a family coaster between Spinning Dragons and Prowler in length. Getting some Cormball Express and InvadR vibes from the layout and can't wait to see a wood spiral lift in person. Pretty cool WoF is getting the first full Titan Track installation - this will compete very well with Thunderation, Outlaw, and American Thunder!

Cedar fair is going crazy this year lol, this coaster, the cedar point boardwalk, the new expansions to Caroline’s and Canada’s wonderland and a few flats. Legit cedar fair is going the pre regime change six flags plan🤣. Now if only dorney can get a woodie too….

As a guy from the KC area this is nuts. Our old coaster but better

While they’re at it, they should build a modern Vekoma looper named Orient Express. It could have a launch and have interlocking loops.

Are the scratches supposed to be 2? Like Zambezi zinger 2? If so that’d be a cool bit of logo design they did

I hope this is a turning point for this park

That's gonna be a really fun lift hill. You don't see the circular lift on a woodie very often. And the layout looks like a solid family thrill level layout.

I love that Cedar Fair is focusing more on the smaller Parks than on the bigger parks besides Cedar Point
