Soon you'll need to slot the PC into the Graphics Card and not the other way around.

this setup cost as much as a i5-13400 + 4060 computer.

Here in Germany, the MGA1 costs 619€. A desktop Radeon 7600 is 330€. The plastic box and a few USB ports is not worth 300€. They could have at least made it full aluminium. An RTX 4070 is 550€.

I suggest building a miniITX system. Would also be more portable than a bunch of cables and small boxes.

Price to performance seems to be rather bad.

Looks sleek but it's definitely niche. It's probably more worth to build sff PC at that point.

Oculink-only is kind of a bummer. USB 4 would make this a killer companion for a handheld like the Lenovo Legion Go or ROG Ally X.

Just look at those 2 cuties @1:50 and all the gaming and productivity they have inside just blows my mind!
At work I have recycled HP EliteDesk 800 G2 Mini (35W) as my desktop with I5-6500T, 2x8GB 2133MHz DDR4 and 256GB M.2 SSD. Really nice little pc that does everything I need there :D Been wondering what upgrades it might be capable of having, if say I7-6700 would be too much? The search continues :)
Thank you again for a wonderful video <3

Hey RGinHD, unrelated to the vid, I’m from Chile, where used pcs and parts prices are crazy high and people seem to not realize their tech is almost obsolete, for reference anything you find in FB marketplace will be more expensive than buying it used from aliexpress, so I usually find myself there trying to figure out what components would make the best performing gaming machine for 100.000-200.000 CLP (80-160 pounds i think) while including a gpu and trying to restrict myself from xenons and the usual mobo cpu combos. Maybe if you find it fun you can give this idea a try. Much love from Chile

I'd also love Alan Wake 2 being added to the list of games, as that is highly demanding and seing which GPUs are capable of handling that game, would be interesting as well.

the possible way this would be portable is that you'd have a backpack that can have a power storage to power this and whatever other things such as a handheld gaming PC

Great video. I have had the GPD G1 for quite a while now and use it via thunderbolt on a 12500h think and light laptop.
That's about the only useful use case being portability and at a price.

Me when someone asks for a free gaming upgrade for the day:

The cost is why I've never been interested in an eGPU. In fact I built my first hackintosh back when I was looking for an eGPU for my MacBook Pro, and found that I could build a complete Mini-ITX PC with GPU for less than the cost of the external thunderbolt enclosure and GPU, and I wouldn't need the MacBook Pro plugged into it, essentially acting as a €2300 dongle.

Why do you not do a bar chart comparison of the igpu and this ? At this point you seem to be turning into a paid advertiser like ETA prime is.

Can you start doing VR tests on hardware? I would really like to see what VR performance is on these systems with eGPUs.

the i9 miniform is 500$ in combo with a ex.gpu might be better instead of a laptop . i would like to see a review of that dock, wanna see how that works.

Good video. I didn't know those existed.

You should add arma 3 to the benchmarks

you can build equivalent mini pc with similar specs for less and there will be less mess of a cables, just one for power
i'd rather have low profile 7600 xt without extra power cable for 150 euro, this however makes no sense whatsoever

Who is this for? Who will use this over any other option?
