AI is considered by many to be the start of a new industrial revolution, already transforming industries like healthcare, finance, and media. We look at ways local colleges and universities are incorporating AI into their programs, helping prepare students for the evolving workforce.

In Palm Beach County, Florida Atlantic University students & researchers are using the power of AI to develop innovative ways to study the brain while also examining the long-term implications of AI. Dr. Elan Barenholtz, co-founder of FAU's Machine Perception and Cognitive Robotics Laboratory (MPCR Lab) & Associate Director of FAU's Center for the Future Mind talks about benefits of a multi-disciplinary approach to their research, and using AI for good.

Miami Dade College is diving head-first into AI with programs for all interest levels and backgrounds. We visit the AI Center at MDC Wolfson campus to learn how they are incorporating & navigating new technologies, and how MDC's MAGIC program is utilizing AI to help students pursue in-demand careers in the fields of animation and gaming.

Susan Jacobson, director of FIU’s Lee Caplin School of Journalism + Media gives us her take on the role of AI in the industry and tips for students to navigate the latest tech tools.
