What seems pretty interesting is that despite thinking that humans should all die because we're cruel and evil, so many of the angel's traps in this movie only work if humans are compassionate: threatening children, capturing loved ones and using them as bate, and cries for help can only work to lure those truly kind out, yet they are all killed in extremely gruesome ways, as if the angels enjoy causing the most amount of suffering to those who least deserve it, and then using that as psychological warfare against their surviving loved ones.

I know the angels aren't supposed to be the "good guys, " but it does seem they are more evil than antagonistic in this movie.

Hearing you talk about the quote by the angels telling people to not be afraid reminded me about how the original translation was, supposedly, not: "Be Not Afraid" but rather translated to: "Stop Screaming" 🤣

The legion is an underrated movie the concept was so cool i wish there was a sequel, Archangel Michael was goated in this movie.

In some religions, the arc angels are leaders, explained by Michael, “I was a general in his army” I love this movie. Paul Bettany is an actor like no other. Love all his films.

39:55 "To not feel their burden is a dream." Free will. Shedding the wings and collar and power meant gaining free will by falling. It was the first time he felt unfettered, uncontrolled free will.

Legion is probably one of the more interesting religious horror movies because it puts a twist on Angel folklore by making them horrifying monsters.

"I said your fucking baby's gonna burn" is still, and will always be, one of the hardest lines in any horror movie I've seen. That whole scene has stuck with me since I saw it as a kid.

Paradise Falls was definitely a nod to "Paradise Lost". I think calling it Paradise lost would have a been a little too on the nose.

Jeep is not Charlie’s boyfriend. She just works at the diner and he has a crush on her. She might have small feelings for him at the beginning of the movie, but nothing romantic and definitely not to the extent that he does. I’m not sure where you got the idea that they are dating. It is pretty obvious what their dynamic is.

Legion & Prophecy were both horror films that had Angels as the main supernatural force. ( I often get them confused but Prophecy had Viggo Mortensen as Lucifer) Dominion was a shortlived SyFy series based on Legion & it dug into the lore of the aftermath of Legion & expanded on the world building & lore. If you liked Legion, you'd probably enjoy the series.

The grill still works likely because he's using propane from a tank since they're in the middle of nowhere. You don't need power, just a lighter to get the grill going and you're set until you run out of gas. For your reference, of course. Fuel is indispensable during hard times, always keep a full propane cylinder hidden in a closet somewhere away from heat.
