Despite it's name, best dual sport on the market. Low, managable, comfortable seat height, 67hp and a 6 speed transmission, so it's more than usable on the highway, and it's lighter than the 3 Japanese 650 dual sports. It's even freaking lighter than the DRZ400.

Congrats on the bike! I got the same one a few weeks ago and am absolutely loving it as well. When I lived in Toronto I was all about the super sport liter bikes, but now that I'm in Northern Ontario, this bike is perfect for the hundreds of trails and terrain right outside the door! Have fun, be safe, and hopefully you don't burn through too many rear tires riding on pavement to get to the fun stuff! Cheers!

Excellent first ride, glad you got to throw a little mud on it. Rear rack looks great, I can't wait to see what kind of cases you are going to pick out. Be safe, Peeohtrek.

I've yet to test ride the 2018 690 Enduro, but it's time to replace my 2007 640 Enduro and I am looking forward to the opportunity. I've been wondering if the seat height has the same feel on both bikes? When I first got my 640 it was a bit of adjustment to get use to balancing on toe points, but I sure grew to love the sitting on top of the world view, and incredible balance the rider gets. Any thoughts to share.

Does nobody air down their tires? I have to go to 15 psi anytime im offroad or else the forks beat me to death. I wonder if theres people out there that dont even know.

Wow nice vid man! Coming previously from a KLR how does it handle weight wise compared to the klr. I currently own a klr and want something lighter cause of the type of riding I am starting to do but still want a dualsport. I am in between the drz400 and the 690. Leaning towards the 690. Money is not the issue what I want is to see how it handles off road. Can you now do more barley stuff than before on your klr? I would really appreciate your insight in this. Thanks in advance and regards Miguel

Is it street legal or did you make it street legal? Btw does it use a key to ignition or is it a kick start?

Hey I'm new to dirtbikes and all but I am going to get my motorcycle license soon. I've been by the ktm store and checked out the 690 in person and I am really thinking about buying it. How is it on the street? I was going to think about using it in the streets/trails around where I live. Thanks!

Yo, chuck it in your carry on luggage and come to Australia and I'll show you some mad trails to test it out on.

Your right wrist must be broken, get well soon. That bike is designed to go FAST off road first. Road bike second. 😎

If you don’t want to get “mucky” maybe don’t go off road ffs.

I demoed one and must sAy its the fastest and lightest but I just wouldn't spend $13000 on a dirt bike.
