This video was made from 1 single take. I did another take before this one, but I made many mistakes.
All of my other videos over the years feature extensive take-swapping and editing (time correction). I have decided that I'd rather post more honest covers, and encourage my listeners and viewers to hear what is *actually* being played.

The backing track to this video is made from the original stems that were made at the time of making the album.

The one thing that has attracted my to your playing, and honestly Monuments as a whole, is how independent and powerful your left half is. There is something about how you maintain groove with your right side, and accent so perfectly with the left. It's what I feel so many drummers are lacking. It's what keeps Amanuensis in my top albums. It's what I enjoyed about your work with DMM as well. I'm so happy you're back and able to continue to be such a big inspiration for me. Keep the groove alive my friend.
P.S. My friend and I got a chance to talk to you and John at your first show for the Amanuensis album at the Palladium in Worcester, MA. It was one of the more chill concert experiences I've ever had. Also I'd love to see vids of I, the Destroyer and Quasimodo. Hands down my favorite tracks.

One of my favorites from Monuments off the Amanuensis - I've watched you play them all but this one earned a Subscriber. Not an extremely technical track but I love the color you add to make this a magical track.
