It was really disappointing, I couldn't get through it. You know I tried for her our mutual personal nostalgia with the first movie. Wasn't into the villain, very underwhelming.

I liked the movie, had a few issues with it (some of them you mentioned) but those are mostly in the final act of the film. The rest of the movie is fine

ATHF has never really resonated with me, but I'm sad to hear it sounds like the movie missed out on a lot of the things people like about the show. I hope we move past fourth wall breaks to troll the audience; I can't think of anything that's made stronger by it.

Also, just a gentle head's up: "gypped" comes from the racial slur "gypsy" so it's probably worth just being aware of.
