How accessible is your city?

This ITF interactive online tool helps you find out how accessible your city is.

It's based on three indicators:
Access: the number of destinations that can be reached by a particular mode of transport within a certain time.
Proximity: the total number of destinations within a given distance from the origin.
Performance: a combination of Access and Proximity.

Different types of destinations are displayed as petals below each city’s name on the tool’s homepage. Users can prioritise five different destination types: Schools, hospitals, population, food shops and green spaces.
The tool uses information from more than eighty cities across Europe and the indicators are calculated for four modes of transport.
You can see how these indicators change over different travel areas. The tool accounts for cities, suburbs and entire urban areas
The tool also allows you to compare your city to others across Europe.
