My brother Siebren and his girlfriend Sofie are visiting. I'm doing small jobs around the homestead and we go for a walk in another valley. Later my brother Cees-Jan is visiting with his family. As usual everyone is making themselves useful.

It was nice to hear the laughter of the children, seeing them become involved with everything around the home, swinging, cooking, and just making the place seem a bit like a family home. Not that quiet and serenity isn't a balm to the soul, but every human needs that family and species companionship from time to time. I felt like I had gone back in time to our family reunions on the ranch out in Wyoming here in the States. Thank you for that ----from an 80 year old who sort of misses that.
