The modern era of Mickey Mouse ends with Steamboat Silly, the final short from Paul Rudish's The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse cartoon produced at Walt Disney TV Animation. After this revamped Mickey Mouse and friends have been around for the past decade, it's time to say goodbye. Is Steamboat Silly a worthy sendoff? Where does the character of Mickey Mouse go from here?

If you ask me, this is the greatest version of Mickey Mouse out there. These shorts had si much goofy antics, a great artstyle, and plenty of callbacks to old Disney characters. I'm sad to see the series go, but at least it ended on a wonderful note.

These shorts meant so much to me. They redefined Mickey back to his roots. He’s still a nice guy, but he also can be chaotic and mischievous. This Mickey doesn’t feel like just a guy in a rat costume. Rest in Pieces, old friend.

I hope Disney learns from this experiment, that Mickey can and should be a character first and a mascot second. These shorts may be over, but hopefully we can get new stuff starring a funny version of Mickey.

This was my favorite adaptation of Mickey Mouse, ever! I watched all the episodes (mostly on YT), and even watched it’s continuation on Disney+.

I’m still shocked to hear that it’s now over. I’m gonna miss this but I’m glad to have experienced this adaptation! Thank you Paul Rudish🫡

this version of Mickey was literally the best in it's entire history, no capping, legit the jokes and humor go so well for a all ages audience; and they made Mickey and Co. actually not soulless mascots, god I legit laughed at some of the jokes they made and thats how you know it's literally the best iteration of the mouse possible

I will never forget the 10 years I experienced with THAT Mickey Mouse. He was apart of my childhood along with MMCH and I always watched the shorts to tune in on what Mickey and the gang are up to. It sucks that his legacy is ending but time moves forward and we got to move on. I will miss the 2013 Mickey Mouse and i'll remember his adventures fondly.
