The problem with this music is, even if I just play the audio, the leitmotifs alone will give away the boss. They're too...

So much Lahabrea. Notice that when you summon your 'friends', their aether is red. This is because it's Lahabrea helping you this time. So it's you and Lahabrea verses Lahabrea.

It's essentially every track ever associated with Lahabrea rolled into one jam session.

Would've loved it if we had a dialogue option to say "Speak plainly!"

Lahabrea: "I'll destroy Hephaistos's crystal later."
Wol: *"My Bullshit-o-meter is having a fucking seizure."*

You know we aren’t fighting with Lahabrea, but Lahalfbrea.

How fitting that someone so obsessed with fire ended up having a lit theme.

Last time someone told Soken he couldn't make an entire song out of motifs, we got "A Long Fall". While this isn't go as hard as that absolute goddamn torpedo, he was working with "Without Shadow", "Thunderer" and "Shadows Withal", three wildly different tracks, and STILL managed to hit it out of the park.

We don't deserve Masayoshi Soken, but I'm damned glad we got him.

This song didn’t really click with me at first, then the ascian-related motifs came in & I instantly fell in love with this track. So excited for Savage.

This has the same vibe as a late 90s early 2000s Sonic Game late stage where you're assaulting Robotnik's base right before the final boss.

The second I realized this theme used the Akadaemia Anyder motif I lost my absolute mind it’s one thing to raid through the tears it’s another thing to raid through the hype

Seriously, the fact alone that this fight has voice acting is just...beautiful. The voiced lines themselves only amplify it!

2:39 part fucking slaps so hard that piano is so good

Just like Eden gave us the fight Ran'jit deserved, Pandæmonium gives us the fight Lahabrea deserved. Awesome fight!

Akadaemia Anyder + Thunderer + Ascian theme, all combined to sound like Salty Bet music

It's a small thing, but I really like how the chains that are removed on his limbs show which form he'll take. Removing the ones on his arms result in his Byakko-like form, emphasizing strength on his arms, whereas removing the ones on his legs turns into his quad pedal form.

Savage will probably have him removing all of them for phase 2.

People in my party were dying as we were trying to list all the different leitmotifs we were hearing.

At 1:49 does anyone else here the first round of the male choir as "Mea culpa"? Because I can't tell and it's driving me insane cause if it is it'd fit really well with the theme of who Hephaitsos is to Lahabrea. Mea culpa or "my fault" because it's both Lahabrea's fault Hephaistos exists AND Hephaistos is the embodiment of Lhahabrea's faults. So he's both "my fault" and "my faults."

No better feeling than using Summoner for this fight. It's fitting to use the final iteration of the Bread Man's signature creation to take down his greatest mistake.
