I was at that game and to this day it was the closest I've ever been to the court for a Spurs game....when Starberry hit that shot i just remember looking around at all the other Spurs fans around me and they where all doing the same.. We where just looking at each other stunned into disbelief....honestly Stephon always cooked us pretty good at home so it truthfully was just more of the same. A true legend in my eyes.

One of the most memorable game-winner, I always see this clip in every NBA commercial back in 2003-2004

Damn....Suns had 4 eras in a era, Kidd/Hardaway era, Marbury/Stoudamire era, and Nash era!!!

These were hopeful times because of one Amare Stoudemire!

Gugliotta actual started the season and then came Amare. So, so explosive. Natural offensive moves and even a decent touch. An unrated intelligence; he never settled for bad shots and didn’t start going away from the basket as some bigs do.

Stoudemire brought back the wow factor to the Suns missing since Charles Barkley.

Suns were always alongside the Lakers and the Warriors with some exciting as hell teams

The Barkley Suns, later Jkidd/Penny short era, Marbury team, Nash/Amare team, a short exciting stint of Bledsoe/Dragic/Isaiah 3 pg team, and finally, the recent Cp3/Booker that went to the finals.

Warriors had their Run Dmc team in the 90s, then the We believe team of B Davis, and finally the Steph era

And to think, the Suns really did go east to San Antonio and not only won game 1, but also busted their ass to try to win Game 2... that game was ultra close too and the Suns were in control most of the 2nd half of game 2 as well... but unfortunately for Phoenix, a couple unlucky breaks late in the 4th quarter squelched the Suns' dream of going back home up 2-0. Phoenix went back home and folded like a lawn chair in game 3, barely came back and won game 4 after Amare fouled out (Voskuhl made the game winning shot!), had a putrid first half in game 5 that was impossible to overcome, and fought in game 6 and had a double digit lead but but ultimately couldn't stop the Spurs' three point shot in the second half.
Still, the Suns won 5 games against the Spurs in '02-03, which is more than any other team could say. 5-5, since the regular season series went 3-1 Suns (Suns only regular season loss was @ SA in overtime on another Marbury prayer bank shot that forced OT then), and the playoff series went 4-2 Spurs.

Suns had three HOF Point Gods in three years....Kidd, Starbury, and Nash.

Mike Dantoni. Great season. Great playoffs then elimination. Joke as a coach.
