Highly requested by quite a few of you guys so here it is! My long term experience with the CC121, maybe STILL the best all round controller for Cubase!

Montage Screen

I had a few questions about you guys on what gear I use to record the Montage screen. Here's what I use:

Now, at the start of 2022, the CC121 has been removed from all catalogs, some places tell you that Steinberg has stopped it. So I’ve found a used one that I should receive very soon and I’m very excited. It will replace my Presonus Faderport I had chosen because it was less than half the price, but for the Cubase integration…
Anyway, thanks for sharing all the functions, I didn’t realize it done so much!

Bought mine 3yrs ago on sale in Andertons for £325 - ROCK SOLID investment. It's a homewrecker I've divorced my keyboard and mouse...We're still friends only when I surf the net and watch your vids ; ) good job amigo

I never think about how much I use my CC121 until I'm working somewhere without one. Probably one of my most used pieces of gear that gets very little love. It's not sexy but it's rock solid. My advice, all serious Cubase users should consider this product.

Dom...you're right...I had no idea about being able to invert the EQ like that. 😎 Cheers sir!

Wow! 🤯 this controller is amazing! I’ve overlooked this for so many years! How are they not shouting from the rooftops about this!

Have my CC121 for 5 years now, bought a second hand. The best controller ever for cubase. You also can use it to control Ableton Live.

I bought the CC 121 after watching this video and I am so happy with it. I cannot understand how I could live without it, specially after being on Cubase for more than 15 years. Just wanted to share that. Thank you for this great video.

A new controller from Steinberg would be cool if it had a similar setup to the CC121 but also the "infinite knobs" that the Behringer2000 had with the leds around them reflected the current value.

I bought one after I saw it in the other video about controllers. Love it. Totally worth the money.
Learned some new tricks in this video that I didn't even know about.

Hi Dom!
I've been looking to the CC121 for about 5 years now, ..and just bought it!...and you were right, ...it's amazing! there is nothing like it, but you are wrong on one thing...it did'nt take me a day to get familiar with it!... it took me just an hour!!!
Thanks for all your work and tips and tricks!
Keep up the nice work!
Love your channel!

Nektar Panorama P6, iPad 12.9 with iC Pro, Houston Mission Controller and CC121 are my tools! Incredible DAW❤

Although I truly love my CC121 I still can't get used to how the response of the EQ is. One moment it's too slow, the next too fast. I'm very happy I own one, tho! Of course the fader works brilliantly, but my most favourite part is when you're in a plugin, things like the spacebar (for play/stop) doesn't work. The CC121 does. Oh, and the Channel Select! That really helps me with recording multiple guitar parts! I would like to see an updated version of the CC121 with all it's current options, but like with some LCD screen integration like the Komplete Kontrol and maybe some assignable rotary knobs for controlling VST's (Like cutoff/resonance, etc)

I’ve used Nuendo/Cubase for over 15 years. It does everything I need it to do and my hands know my key commands without my brain needing to get involved at this point. But, hot diggety damn, man! After this video, I’m going to be day dreaming about the cc121. And Steinberg can count you as the salesman on my eventual purchase.

I graduated from SAE, Miami 2004. I'm thrilled to know you taught at one of the schools. Very cool

I have had mine for many years too. There are some things I'd like to see in a hardware update: An LCD showing the channel name and the value of the AI parameter, encoders with better resolution (like my nords, where you can't feel the steps on them) and the AI knob shaped more like a jog wheel. Actually I often exchange the AI knob with the jog wheel of my Yamaha 01X and it improves a lot! Wish I could find a suitable metal jog wheel to replace the plastic knob. Cheers!

I watched this out of curiosity. Now I’m hitting Sweetwater to order one. Crazy.
