Personally I prefer Beckett over PSA. I've seen many people get back an order and 1 card (that looked great) with a "no name" player get a very low grade. And in that same order the same card (that looked worse) with a star player get a 10. I even know a guy who purposely put bad cards in his order to get a better grade on the next card. He got a PSA 8 on a card, broke it out and did this trick and the card went from an 8 to a 10.
Everything I've done with Beckett has been very fare and consistent. That and I like that it's harder to get a 10 with Beckett.

For me PSA is the only choice. I've tried others too but the resale price difference is staggering. I understand we don't all grade to sell. I screen and prep my cards before grading and am fairly strict with modern stuff. So far I've found them to be very accurate.

Nice grade on the Robertson Draft Day. Too bad about the Caufields. I don't think PSA is that consistent. Last year we got better grades than expected and this year we got lower grades than we expected. I like the PSA slabs the best and it is easiest to grade with them by dropping off the cards at the Toronto Sports Card show. Thanks for sharing.

Not too bad on the returns. The thicker and darker cards are always tough to get 10s. I only tend to grade PC stuff, so grades are less important than the display, protection factor. End of the day it's one dudes opinion I guess, and that makes consistency hard to predict. Cool vid and opinion piece.

I hear people complain about psa not being consistent but i have never graded anything so i cant say i would say your grades were pretty good overall

The cost grading is too expensive for me. I wonder if PSA will get saturated within the next year. Especially with all the Bedards to hit the market soon.

I have been extremely lucky with grading with psa like a 85% gem rate so far and I don't see using any other grading company as an option.

I know psa slabs may not look the best to some people, but they are the most known and are at the top of the grading industry so grading with anyone else really isn't an option I personally think.

Now, with grading consistency, I just think people should look there cards over better and if you don't think it's going to ten you really shouldn't send it unless you want to slab a PC card, because if it doesn't ten you really can't profit that much from grading.

Anyway those are my opinions on the matter of grading.

PSA seems to be controlling the grades now. Fewer 10’s being given out. The Bedard effect.

Quin I sold mine for $270 psa 10 that’s a good card to hold and sell.

If you’re keeping for yourself is it worth grading?
