Modded Hyundai Tucson IX35 HID Xenon Headlamps

Check out my Hyundai Tucson Limited after I've completed my HID Xenon headlight upgrade. This video was shot later in the evening to give you a better look at the lights from my previous video. The install wasn't very difficult and I would probably rate it at around a 5/10. I purchased this HID kit from Diode Dynamics. The end result is nothing short of amazing! The lights are SO much brighter now and make driving in dark areas a breeze. The way that the housings on the US Tucson's are though do not include a projector in the housing therefore the lights may be a little brighter for oncoming traffic.

In the future I plan to keep the HID lights and upgrade the headlight housings to projector beam housings to help smooth out the light beam.

The Tucson is my wife's main ride but we got this after she traded in the Grey Genesis Coupe 2.0 Turbo. We needed something bigger for hauling stuff around on the weekends and projects around the house!

4300K is pretty much the exact color of your stock headlight bulbs. They are white with a slight yellow tint. With the 6000K it's pretty much that hyper white look with just a slight hint of blue.

Thanks... i was actually planning on getting some from diode dynamics too for my '08 xterra, was thinking about 4300-6000 not really into the "annoying blue" look, just want the purest whitest light...

I purchased mine from Diode Dynamics. You can find them online and the prices are pretty good!

The temperature that I went with is 6000K. They are pretty much the whitest pure white with maybe a TINY bit of blue. This video didn't get the exact same color as they are in real life but it's the best temp in my opinion. I didn't want to go 7500K or whatever because that is way too blue and looks stupid.
