A few things I've learned after 3000 hours in Planet Coaster...

I’d say 3000 hours is a considerable portion of my life I’ve dedicated to a silly little theme park management game and I figured I’d impart some of the knowledge I’ve gained in the process.

Here’s my advice don’t go into the game trying to be perfect because you won’t you will make some bad things but you will learn my first park that I was so proud of at the time is nothing compared to what I’ve done lately. The thing is I had fun and that’s the important thing if you are playing this game and not having fun you are playing the game wrong. You won’t be perfect so just build be proud of what you build and have fun.

Reference is sooo important.
Once you recreated a few builds in a certain way it'll click eventually and you can build your own while keeping the same style.

These examples are precisely what makes someone a good PlanCo builder: someone who knows the flaws of the game / engine and work around it with creativity. I'm a bit fed up with people complaining that this game sucks (it doesn't) and PlanCo 2 should come out very soon for them. To me, it means they haven't learned how to be great with less in the current game. Great video!!

I will have to agree. using pieces not as they are intended is THE best piece of advice. I started that last year (??) and applied to to my atm. so so worth it. Great video as always!! this was full of great tips. love it!

Know what type of builder you want to be, perfect that style (be good at realism, fantasy or the "game"), build for the bin (finish everything even if you just delete it) and don't worry about what everyone else is doing - comparison is the thief of joy; oh.. and the sum of all the things you've seen at theme parks is not the sum of all the possibilities so just have fun with it. If you stuck to observations companies like RMC wouldn't exist

What a cracking video.. The wall pieces to confuse the advanced move tool is defo the number 1 tip to use.. closely followed by the area lights under ground for light throw...

I too use the game not a theme park builder, (sometimes) I have made various theatres in the game! Using billboards as the backdrops & pieces for sceneryI’ve created in procreate and import it into that game. Also using the adv move to fly set in and out of the stage! There’s a full auditorium and backstage!!
