The Kiridashi - By Cold Steel

We know this isn't the kind of video you're used to, however as we are out on our mandated quarantine we want to keep sending some nice visual stimulus in the form of some of our favorite knives. Check out the Kiridashi.

This knife is why I love cold steel. More knife than the price suggests. Checks all the EDC boxes. The clip was a concern during purchase. But I've since changed my mind. I like it so much I might just get another one. :)

Had mine a few weeks now, & I really like it. I've used it to open packages, cut string, & light food prep -- the usual tasks. Also used it to trim some twigs off freshly cut elm while pruning on our property & the edge held up really well -- no chips or rolls, & still incredibly sharp after. And lock up is solid. I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a locking, small edc.

Wish they'd make an upgrade version. Keep the form, design and style, but give it at least D2 or Aus 10a, some g10, and a standard pocket clip. Would be an instant classic and great piece.

Use it daily at work (cabinet shop); carving, prying, cutting open packages and cutting excess material off edges. Always does the job

I haven't quit carrying this knife since i got it a month ago. I have opened and cut many nylon straps and cardboard boxes and its still shaving sharp. 4034 is way better than i thought it would be. If you're thinking about getting one do, it its totally worth the money

I love cold steel’s designs and they’re durability, but give my a steel I know (S30V, 154cm, S35, M390, anything) and when will they catch on and start using deep carry clips? I like a large robust knife but I don’t want everyone to see two inches of knife handle sticking out of my pocket.. love cold steel again, have a half dozen of their products BUT I’m still waiting for them to come into the modern era

Very nice, but just little small for my hands. 3/4" of inch on both blade and handle would be nice, still very nice. Well done cold steel.

This wrong..! Kiridashi = Chisel With Urasuki- Urasuki is traditionally found on Japanese single beveled knives. Back side of the blade is concave to reduce the drag during cutting.
