Hate to say it but I bought this yesterday & I can’t wait to get it in the mail. Did I need it? No, was it a waste of money? Probably yes lmao
Im building my dream pc. I’m rewarding myself for being clean (drugs) since 7/01/21. I have no limit. The only thing I will not do is pay scalper prices. That’s my one rule.
The parts I need now are, cpu & ram. I’m trying to hold out for the 9900x3d or 9950x3d. Unless they get the 9800x3d back in stock soon. I guess I also need a gpu but all the 4090’s are way over msrp. Plus I have a 3090 already so I might even wait for the 5000 series.

Correction, usbc 40gb and the M.2_2 share the same lanes Gen 5 x4. So when you use that M.2 slot, it becomes x2 lanes and the 40gb becomes x2. You can change it in the bios for the M.2 to be x4 but this will diable the 40gb usbc. When are you going to do a build video with this board? I am getting mine this Wednesday and a guide build would be greatly helpful!

The 4th M.2 slot shares lanes with the 2nd PCIE no matter what (even if it's empty) it will only get 2 lanes instead of 4! so slots 1, 2, 3 & 5 all get 4 lanes but only 2 lanes go to slot 4!

I hate how expensive it is but i frickin want it and really want to get it so long as no new surprise chipset changes/revisions happen any time time soon. I also herd that some users were having very bad issues with the display screen not working on this board so will only hope and pray that is not still a large scale issue and other than that my only real grip is having to use a secondary fan hub/bridge rather than just having all 7 fan headers on the board itself so that really worries me in case it dies or happens to not work with more than half of your case fans dead as a result.
