for the towel question: it doesn’t need to be washed daily or anything but after a certain time, it may start growing mold or other nasty things because of the moisture in it, so make sure to wash it at least once a week.

WELL:
The Record disk itself has little bumps and groves on it (called pits and lands) And when the needle of the record player goes over/into one of the pits/lands, it creates vibration therefore creating the sound 😊! It’s basically the same as a CD! 😁

For the last one it would be the same way we learned our first language as babies. We never used translation and so as bilingual babies that have parents that speak different languages they don’t use translations

I think I can answer the towel question: Yes we do come out of the shower clean, but when we wipe with a towel, we transfer the water onto the towel. After a few days, if you don’t change the towel it will grow mildew. Bacteria like cool and wet places so they will go to the towel and grow all sorts of nasty things. So it’s important to wash our towels and dry them, so we can use them effectively 🧖‍♀️😂

Scientists know what part of the ocean they’ve discovered and they have it pretty mapped out with how large it is etc so they can give a pretty close percentage to how much of the ocean is discovered. They mostly mean like, what is there, because iirc we know the depths and stuff of most of the parts

For the last one, there is a stone with the exact same text three times on it. That's how we know about most egyptian hieroglyphics because it's also written down in greek and like that one can make translations. I'd guess there are similar examples for other languages

The towel gets dirty because of mildew and records work by making vibrations and when the vibrations get louder they replicate the sound
