Creating Interactive Video in Articulate Storyline 360

Показать описание
In this Articulate Storyline 360 tutorial, Jeff will walk you through various ways to make your video interactive. These ways include pausing the video, asking questions during the video, and then jumping them to different parts of the video, depending on the learners' response as well as adding hotspots right on the video and showing information about the video allowing the learner to explore what they want about a video.

These methods help the video be less passive and more interactive, allowing the learner to engage, explore and adjust as they watch it. There are many more ways to make the video interactive, but these are just ways to get started.

Just quick extra side-thought on the Lorem feature (maybe someone posted this already...) --you can pass parameters to it as well.
Type =lorem(p, s) where p is the number of paragraphs you want, and s is the number of sentences in each paragraph. Eg. =lorem(2, 3) will give you 2 paragraphs that are each 3 sentences long.

Hi Jeff, Thanks for the video! For some reason, my question 2 when answered incorrectly jumps straight to question 1 layer vs. going to the cue point selected. Any ideas why this could be happening?

Hi, How can you use Articulate with Apple Mac computer? I have Mac and there isn’t any version for Mac. Can you help me please?

What happens if they pause the video or forward/ rewind? I lose my interactions if they alter the video in any way. How to stop that?

When doing any kind of branching activity I like to start with a flowchart

You can also use a marker, because icons have an issue in which if the user clicks on the "transparent" areas of an icon, the action will not be triggered.

Hi Jeff, a quick question. I am publishing all my content for the LMS as videos. So the output for the entire content is a video. Will this still work if we produce the training as a video?

Hi Jeff, you offer some awesome vids on storyline. I was just wondering, can you use the button to jump other cues so go from cue 1 to cue 4 without it triggering any cues on the way?

Can this be done if publishing in html and not in SCORM?

Is it possible to have a trigger that plays the video in reverse? To simulate a fly-in and then fly-out again situation?

When you are working with cue points, do you use a hot spot or some other way to NOT allow the user to control the video? If the user pauses the video, does this throw off the cue points at all?

The trouble with this video, along with many others I have seen on Youtube, is that they do not show what the end result looks like. The main reason I am watching these videos is to see what the final product looks like once all these features have been used. Any chance you can edit the video to add that? Really difficult to get the whole picture otherwise.

Great video Jeff! One issue I am finding is that when previewing, if you skip any part of the video, the cue points no longer work!! Am I missing something here? SL drives me crazy!

Can the black background be changed at all?

Thanks for the great video! I'm wondering: if I'm only wanting to do interactive videos in my courses, but I want to have as many features as possible (including branching), so you still recommend Articulate 360? It seems a bit expensive, and I'm wondering if I could get by with something cheaper?
