You can't improve on perfection... BUT... this is pretty damn close. Great to hear that lead as an FM guitar

Savaged Regime has gone to the point where he's improving tracks I already thought were perfect from the start. Pls never stop making Genesis remixes, gecko. I love them all.

Man, this is how I would imagine this song would sound if Shinobi 3 were a side scrolling beat-em-up. I can imagine throwing people into trashcans near a dock. Excellent work.

If Shinobi 3 had an MSU MD+ soundtrack hack to it, this would be in there without a doubt. Amazing work.

Yes. All we need now is "Solitary" and "Long Distance".

Improved basslines and a lead with vigor turns the original from a synth composition into a total shredder. Another instant classic from Savaged Regime!

The original is already fantastic and this might be even better! The Mega Drive has such a kickass sound <3

But I have to say that I wish you keep doing more covers of music from other systems and not necessarily only from arcade or SNES games but what about some Amiga games? I would LOVE to hear music from Turrican or Z-Out properly done on Mega Drive. Also more covers of PC Engine music! So many cool PC Engine soundtracks that could go next level with the Mega Drive sound hardware, some that could be particularly interesting to tackle would be Alien Crush, Dungeon Explorer, Soldier Blade or even some PC Engine CD games such as Gate of Thunder.

edit: also the X68000 Castlevania game, prolly the best "16-bit Castlevania" and it got some great tunes that could sound great as well on Mega Drive.

The Whirlwind never sounds so GOOD like this! Thanks for your work!

You know the more I listen to this? The more I am convinced that the Meg would be really good in getting all of the MMX games to work on it. Maybe some small changes here and there, but music wise it would easily work.

You never cease to amaze me with your FM sound design. I learned so many new techniques and cool tricks from your videos. I even created a djent guitar tone of my own. I still struggle with finding a purpose for the PSG.

This almost sounds like a different track, yet still keeps the vibes of the original, if that makes sense. 😂
Brilliantly done!

It’s mind blowing how you’ve clearly improved one of the best tracks of the Megadrive era
