Hi, Thanks for the Vid. The Fernsehturm was and is always beautiful. It was designed and built by the best and it stood the test of time. A testimony of the smart people East Berlin had at the time. I miss it so much. Visited the Fernsehturm on a number of occasions back in the 1980s. Most of Berlin back then was the safest city in the world. As kids we had fun growing up in Berlin.

Went up to the viewing gallery in 1977 before the wall came down. In Berlin for a sporting exchange visit. The tower stays the same but I wouldn't recognise it now. Even Checkpoint Charlie hardly exists. But it is better now in many ways I am sure. I remember the U-Bahn crossed into East Berlin but did not stop at the stations. West Berlin was colour, East Berlin was black and white. Good memories from London.

Was in Berlin around july 10th. Had my bicycle that i rented with my hotel in Kantstrasse 111. I did arrive at the fernsehturm, but did not visit because i did not want to leave my bicycle. Well this is a very good compensation ;-) Thankyou for sharing this wondeful view of Berlin. This is even taller than the Eiffel tower is it not?
