I gave up on trying to grow Jicama long ago. I find Yacon to be far easier, but I think you've just talked me into giving it one more try. Thanks for the info Bill!

Hi Bill, I just discovered your channel a few weeks ago when I found your great YouTube video on pruning raspberries. If I plant a jicama tuber and it grows a vine and makes seeds then I could take those seeds and plant them in August and grow more roots during the fall? Or will that work, because I can't seem to find any seeds?

Oh no -- I'm in central Mexico now, I've planted Jicama just now and have the little guys like the ones you planted in the pots -- If I leave them on like that, will they give me Jicama next year during the winter?

bill it's pretty nice to hear about all the failures and attempts so that us home gardeners can have success good explanation professor, it looks like Universal growing going on at your spot what is the altitude high and low temps around there is there a big difference between Mountain View and HPP I know you're on separate freeways but as far as growing goes, looks like you and Ellen are very happy there and can grow about anything is there something you wish you could grow there just curious bill mahalo, ...Paul

I love jicamas!! Sometimes I'll get one that is sweeter than others. Do you know why? I don't grow them but buy them from the store. They're crunchy and so healthy, I like them!!
