I finally have all the equipment to spray glaze!!!! So excited to be doing this. I have dipped and brushed in the past. Now I can add a new way to glaze.
I have a used compressor for 50 dollars My sister found for me, various connectors and hose from Harbor freight for about 25 dollars and my spray gun the 118 Siphon Gun which was a Christmas gift from my husband. I got each piece over a matter of time as I could afford. Just proving you don't have to have the best of everything as a hobby potter

A few tips! To make sure the tips don’t get clogged make sure and sieve your glaze, you may need to do it a few times. Put your pots on boards so you don’t have to touch them taking them on and off. Mark the start point on the board so you know how many times you’re going around. For practicing you can actually just use water, and spray on a large piece of cardboard etc. Work on how far back or close you are as well as opening and closing the tip so you can make strips of color or full coverage etc. It is sooo much fun!! Also be sure that the glaze you spray can be used to spray. Some aren’t supposed to be used to spray. I’m sure they all turned out amazing. Can’t wait to see them.

It is fun to spray glaze. Can't wait to see the results. Looks like you are going to have a good kiln opening 😍

Great! You get totally different results from dipping, brushing and spraying. I love spraying too. Good that you have enough protection..

I have always wanted to try spray glazing because I want to create a gradient effect. I also have the same fear as well about the spray gun. I guess I just need to try it
