Oh my god I *finally* found a comprehensive, no rambling, step by step guide on how to build a good in tank overflow. You are my hero.

I did exactly this on my 120g 2 months ago and it works like a charm! I run a small refugium compartment and a full sized skimmer compartment behind there.

Nice vid Dev.. only thing missing is a few general principle details people may not know. Such as, how where you place overflow cutouts is based on where you want the water height in the display and flow rate, and in general why certain baffles are certain heights. Or just the measurements you did and why.
It's a great vid, I was just thinking of some things to keep in mind that may be cause for pause in the process as others try this themselves.

Looks great Devin - nice re purposing of the ATO tank. Man, I wish I had a laser cutter! I have a feeling we are going to have an uptick of videos across YouTube with everyone at home staring at their tanks all day : )

That’s awesome and works our perfect for a AIO and now you have ONE additional tank that you have to fill up and maintain 😜 great video Dev 🙏👌👏👏

Another nice video..just one little point..you may regret taking the back wall flush with the top edge of the tank walls! I would left it short a half inch at the top just in case the drain cutouts get clogged…

Hi Reef Dude, 😃 how has the silicone held on the overflow box where the acrylic is sealed to the glass back? Thanks!

Fantastic job Dev. It looks wonderful buddy. 👌👌👌

Would be nice addition to add thin acrylic strips with an L shape to them, around the back of the overflow opening, in a squared U shape so you could slide in various height acrylic panel/pieces to adjust the height or flowrate of the overflow opening.
