Lost hot water morning I went away, back late today and worried about not being able to find someone before the weekend and I find this video and have managed to fix myself! Thank you for sharing this

Why I see this video when I already bought a thermostat 😱😂😉 will try this tip tonight let see what will happen, least worst case scenario I’ve a brand new thermostat if the reset doesn’t solve my night time heating. Thanks your video.

Thanks, had voltage on one side of the thermostat and 19.5 Ohms through the element but no hot water. This worked straight away. Thank you

Thank you for this - after faffing half heartedly with our immersion heater for a couple of days this video showed us how to fix the problem in a few minutes.

Thanks you may have solved our issue! I wasn’t sure if my Immersion was working because the central heating also heats up our water tank.

Thanks, Just about to replace the element, then discovered a hidden reset switch you mentioned, which had popped out, Problem solved, you have saved me loads of time a grief ! All the best

This may have fixed my issue... I had already switched the main circuit breaker off before I looked at it so I don't know if the reset switch had already popped out or not but I pushed it back in anyway. I will come back to the comments tomorrow to let you know if it worked... Otherwise will be a call to the landlord. Thanks for the vid either way :)

Thanks for the video. Why would this safety cut out reset though? We've recently had a new immersion fitted and after a week it needed resetting. The plumber said there was scale inside the cylinder. Could this be the reason?

Works a treat! Cheers... But now I'm struggling to get the screw in the cap back on tight 🤦🏼‍♀️

We had a brand new Tesla immersion installed about 3 months ago and the thermostat has already failed, the reset didn’t work so I got a new thermostat and replaced like for like and it worked, but just concerned why a brand new one would fail after only 3 months ? Are they known to fail often ?

Yep, that worked. Hard to push in, and such a small button.

Have a fault in one, it is stuck on and boils the water, I was hoping that this video might explain how it is removed from the tank, does it unclip, unscrew, does it have a o-ring seal into the tank, or does it have a sealed tube built into the tank?

My thermostat looks identical to this, however the reset button doesn't have a button it's literally just a metal slate there and you can't press it in. Any advice?

Ok so my Tesla immersion heating element is new and the thermostat supplied by Tesla as well has tripped 3 times now I've replaced each one with a new thermostat the electrician has tested the element and wiring and does not know why it's doing it. It's set at 60c it seems to do it at night when it's on for 2 or 3 hours on the programmer or when it's on boost for 2 hours. So I'm guessing it's to do with the ambient temp in the airing cupboard? surly it's not getting up to 90c. Anyone have any ideas?
