Can you solve the secret werewolf riddle? - Dan Finkel

You’re on the trail of a werewolf that’s been terrorizing your town. After months of detective work, you’ve narrowed your suspects to one of five people. You’ve invited them to dinner with a simple plan: to slip a square of a rare antidote into each of their dinners. Unfortunately, you only have one square left. Can you divide it into perfect fifths and cure the werewolf? Dan Finkel shows how.

Man, imagine the detective's face when he goes to that village, spends the entire day questioning every inhabitant only to realize that every single one of them is a werewolf ready to kill him.

The bonus riddle is easy. We know that there is at least 1 werewolf, and when asked, all of the people said that there is at least 1 human, including that one werewolf. If that one werewolf lied about there being at least one human, that would mean that there are no humans at all. Meaning that all of the people there are werewolves with green eyes that responded Ozo.

Based on the ending, where the carpenter tells you about the curse, it means he was aware he was a werewolf. Yet he still went to dinner with the rest of the guests, meaning he must have WANTED to kill you all

Actually you can just dissolve the antidote into the soup. And then separate the soup with antidote into exactly 5 bowls

Easy peasy.

Step 1: Give the antidote to the carpenter because he looks like a werewolf.

Step 2: Cook the goat and serve him to your guests. The antidote in the goat will cure the others if they were werewolves. Ensure that you make and serve a goat stock so that you don't lose any antidotey goodness.

Step 3: Figure out why you have a laser cutter in an era where people dress like that.

I actually had to make those shapes when sewing a quilt. I had calculated the area of fabric needed for the back, but it wasn’t wide enough to cover it, or long enough to cut into two rectangles and sew them together. The only symmetrical solution was four right triangles and a square!

For the bonus riddle, they’re all werewolves. Since they all gave the same answer they must all be lying or all be telling the truth. Since we know that at least one of is a werewolf, they then must all be lying to have the same story and thus all be werewolves.

You gave those people the anti-dote, But forgot to take one yourself, So immediately after the sun sits your eyes turn green, And then you ask the guard to leave, and he reply Ozo.

For the bonus riddle: It looks like it wouldn’t actually matter what all the villagers agreed on. If they all said “There used to be a statue here, ” that would still mean they’re all werewolves —as long as there’s at least one werewolf and all the villagers are telling the same story.
