These are some of the newest features on Apple's latest operating system, macOS Catalina. iTunes is dead, but now we have three different apps to take its place. We now have a separate Music app, Podcasts app, and an Apple TV app.

Sidecar which is unavailable in this first beta will allow you to use your iPad as a secondary display to your Mac via a wired connection, or wirelessly, but the best part is you'll also be able to use the Apple Pencil to draw, sketch or markup a document.

Sidecar works flawlessly on my 15” 2017 MB Pro with beta 1

Thanks to macOS Catalina i will be buying the new 12” iPad Pro.
I’ve always wanted to use the iPad as a Wacom tablet.

I am very happy for this and obviously PS4 and Xbox One S Controller support is a PLUS!

They really exceeded my expectations this time.

Great review: A lot of interesting/good changes to the MacOS. However, my two concerns concerning Catalina are 1) the complete drop of support for older 32 bit apps by Catalina, and 2) the big changes to iTunes and the possible impact on the large (over 1, 000) old movies that I've recorded off, camcorder, YouTube, cable and satellite sources. It seems that Apple has had a worse track record supporting older technologies then its arch-enemy Microsoft for on my Windows computer I can still play games, read file formats created in the 1990s while my 2006 iMac is sitting in the closet gathering dust for it is obsolete.

Providing Voice Control on macOS and iOS (and of course iPadOS) is huge. This functionality not only enables the physically disabled but also those that suffer from RSI, and other similar afflictions. I can't wait to try the public beta.

Will Sidecar support screen mirroring or just screen extensions? And I'm curious if I can still use Airplay to send my iPad image to an Apple TV while I'm using it as a Sidecar monitor.

I do have a question about YouTube...you seem like the person to ask perhaps...i can’t get videos to play right now. Out of the blue a couple of weeks ago i just get a black screen with a spinning wheel and no more video...I’ve done all the clearing i can....what steps can be done to fix this if you have any
