Just got a custom shop version with an adirondack top/bracing and 2 1/4 string spacing...it's like holding a baby, and my gosh what soft sweet tone....probably paid too much but life is short and my grandkids will thank me someday. Great demo, thanks

I have had my 000-18 for about 6 months now. Ian's demo was the determining factor and took the fear out of buying sight unseen. The Martin is as good as depicted in this demo.

Something magic happens in the mids of these new 000-18s, particularly when played as beautifully as this. It's not so much the bark that a D18 gives off, more like a crackle. Lovely stuff

Your video was instrumental, no pun intended, to me buying the 000-18 Standard. Your demonstration is absolutely beautiful. I replaced the end pins on my 000-18 from plastic to ebony (Martin brand). What I noticed is that there is a little more sustain, the higher end not as crisp but an overall sweeter/mellow sound. I'm not sure if I prefer one over the other, they both sound great - just different.

Great playing as always Ian. I have always felt that the 000-18 by Martin is their perfect guitar. Just enough bass, even tone and the right amount of snap to the notes. I've played these side by side to the 000-28 and prefer these. They carry easy, are comfortable to play on the couch as well as with a strap. If you play more finger style than strum then look to the 00-18, but if you like to do both then this is a great candidate.

I'm waiting for my Gibson J45 to arrive right now. If it doesn't work for me, the 000-18 is it!!! If the 000-18 came with electronics, it would be my 1st choice. You do the 000-18 All the justice sir. Excellent sound!!!! Making me question my decision?? Hmmm??

Looking to get my first small body. Is there much difference in tone between the two. Isn’t the difference the scale? 12 vs 14 fret.
