I absolutely love the music video production on this song. It seems like Lisa focused less on the lyricism and more on the production and music video(since each sentence had only a few words) which you don’t see so often with songs that are supposed to have deep meanings. I love that she and Dave myers used different metaphors not said in the lyrics themselves but in the music video and brings an even deeper meaning to the whole song. Like when u see the guy creeping over her through the window, she avoids him the first 2-3 times we see him. This could symbolise the publics opinion about her and how she was maybe afraid and preferred to be on the “safe side”. But on the 4th time, we see her dancing in front of him with confidence. Which intale that she’s facing the public and acknowledges their opinions but doesn’t care. This makes sense since she just started a solo career with a much different style than before. I just appreciate when artists put the effort into telling a story into their music instead of just having a meaningless song/music video just for some quick cash. Never listened to black pink before but will defo keep an eye on Lisa.
