I have a WTF story. Kind of perfect for Halloween. My best friend and I were on a road trip for my 18th birthday. We went along the coast towards Hertz’s Castle so naturally, we stopped at some beaches. We found one near the Hilton we were staying in for the night but whether it because it was late or something else, the beach was closed.

Disappointed, we turned to leave. The only other people there were this elderly couple with their dog. As we were leaving, they said “Hello” to us. Being polite, we say hello back and they start talking. They seemed nice enough. Then they asked “How is Scarlet?”. We said she was fine and quickly and politely excused ourselves. Neither I nor my best friend knew someone called Scarlet. We were a little uneased by it but agreed, at the very least, it wasn’t sinister.

We continued the road trip for a few days and we quickly forgot about the strange exchange. We went to Six Flags Hurricane Harbor for our last day. We were in the lazy river and some girls were playing with an inner tube behind us. We paid no attention to them and minded our own business. Then suddenly I feel something fall on my back! One of girls had been tipped out of the inner tube and right on to me. They said sorry, I said it was okay, no big deal. Then we heard one of them say to their friend, “Are you okay, Scarlet?” My friend and I stared at each other. There was no need for words, we were thinking the same thing

I like how this short is a callback to the Costume short you did back in 2017 where Henry dressed up as Duck. And Diesel is now traumatized for life!

I like how Bruce can face off against a horde of zombies or a genocidal Duck (the animal) without fear or hesitation, but put him up against an army of Ducks (the engine) and THAT forces him to “RUN AWAY!” “RUN AWAY!”
