Learn about the success of the COVID-19 CORE in developing institutional responses to the pandemic. The COVID-19 CORE seeks to engage collaborative working groups to coordinate, collate, and facilitate the rigorous and expeditious completion of COVID-19 health services, outcomes and population health studies conducted by interdisciplinary research teams addressing prescient questions germane to the individuals, communities and populations we serve in our city, county, state, and Deep South region. Dr. Michael Mugavero will discuss the COVID-19 CORE. Drs. Katherine Meese, Yulia Khodneva and Carrie Howell will describe their COVID-19 CORE projects.
UAB Health System, in collaboration with the Center for Outcomes Effectiveness Research and Education and the Clinical & Population Health Sciences Program, is on a journey to develop and implement LHS principles throughout our health system. The five-week series will include presentations from faculty leading LHS initiatives across the nation, highlights from UAB faculty, and plan for the development of more integrated collaborative opportunities. Our goal is to use this event to launch system-wide efforts to cultivate LHS concepts at UAB.
