How Does Signing Tyler Johnson Impact The Bruins Roster?

With Riley Tufte assigned to Providence does this move make room for the Bruins to bring in Tyler Johnson? Adam Pellerin and Judd Sirott explore the potential impact bringing in Johnson would have on the rest of the roster. If he best connects with Brad Marchand and Charlie Coyle as his linemates. And would bringing Johnson in mean possibly sending young center Matthew Poitras to the AHL, or will the Bruins hold onto him?

Look at Tyler Johnson's NHL Stat's ...and he is still a great playmaker/scorer as shown in camp... there are just a few on Bruin's roster that can match him offensively. The only reason we don't have him playing is because of Swayman.

Fourth line great. Third line should be Coyle, Freddie and Zacha, that would be great. Top 6 we have Marchand, Pasta, Lindholm and Poitras (hopefully). Sending him down to providence is rediculous. A couple games he’s been out best forward. That means we are short 2. We need to take a chance on Lysell, Merk and Johnson and Brazau.

That might have been done a while ago had the guy who just let 6 goals in last night not held the team up for what was left in the budget...and he wanted more than that! 🤑

Great episode boys! First off NEED to sign Tyler Johnson, was nasty in Tampa *won a cup* and just look at his stats. Also this is strictly my opinion but it all comes down to leadership & holding a standard. Starts with Marchand, Pasta, McAvoy, Coyle, Carlo, Fredrick, Sway, Zacha & Lindholm. The ones that have been here for years now. None of them are playing good and it reflects on the rest of the team. 4th line is the only line doing anything. I think there needs to be more of the (Monty-Marchand) incident because it shows accountability which is EXACTLY what this team is lacking. We lost to Nashville & Philly. I think that says enough. Thankfully the season just started to plenty of time! Looking forward to a positive & energetic turn around.

I definitely feel he will be more like Tufte or Jones. I don’t believe he is the caliber of Heinen, or better.
