I damn near cried tears of happiness over a regular season game in November. Thank you mark pope, I feel like UK basketball is back. I have so much confidence now because this game was not a fluke. That guy is a COACH and these players GET IT and have the talent to go far.

Pope really hit it out of the park with his assistants. They are very engaged and it feels like the team has 3 head coaches on the sidelines. They deserve as much credit as we’re giving him.

Crazy how he new the Iso for Flagg was coming and literally told them to be ready to take the ball when he spun!! That's insane!!! Kentucky fans tell me, how lucky are we that we have that guy as our coach, if I'm a recruit watching that video, I wanna play for that guy!!! Thank you coach Pope!! Go Cats!!🔵⚪

His halftime talk. He asked them what they thought the problem was. Its always easier for someone to change something if its their idea instead of someone telling them what they need to do. Then he kept it simple, two things we need to do to turn this around: transition D like the team said and ball screen defense. Then he built them up and gave them belief, they came out playing with passion and didnt quit. And he did all that in what maybe two minutes? Absolute master class. And then coaching the Flagg iso and spin before it happened so Oweh was right there. They will lose some games, but it won't be because they are doing their own thing, not working hard enough, aren't prepared or have been outcoached...which is all a breath of fresh air. I just can't help after watching this...can you imagine Reed playing in this system with this team? By God that dude would own the state.

At 6:55 and 11:20 Pope predicted Cooper spinning move and Oweh did exactly what he was supposed to do to get the steal. Excellent coaching

I mean all I have to say is the difference between this yr and last is when pope is in the huddle tells them exactly what Flagg is going to do and tells them how to guard it. And Owen does exactly that !

1:30-1:57 mark feels like something out of Dante's Inferno. The music. The UK players being forced to walk through the gates of hell for an all-out war. The fire towering above Cooper Flagg's head. The players preparing for something that could very well cost them their souls if they lose. Yes, this was a big game.

Sign pope to a 20 year extension now. I know he will stay as long as he’s welcomed but put some more respect on his name. Love the way he coaches. His interviews show how much this means to him. He’s a genuine man with a Kentucky basketball soul. We love it. What a time to be alive for Kentucky basketball
