HOW TO JOIN A FACTION | Elite Dangerous

Somebody left me a comment asking me if I could do a video on how to go from no faction to a faction. So in this episode I explain four steps to being able to join the faction of your choice. This is mostly for beginners, so I hope it helps you guys out. ENJOY THE VIDEO!!!

Hunt pirates not join pirates. Same page there Jake. There are some universal skills and mechanics used for and not for piracy that does expand and compact/impact both sides of that ranged conversation. Those decisions do stick with your commander, your ship, and those systems and potential enemies and allies as far as Stellar Forge is concerned. They do frown on activity and trade/travel in opposing power systems and instances. Great vid. o7 Commander.

What's surprising is that there is almost nobody reporting the weekly rankings of the Powers. Must not be very popular, I've read some threads that talked about how bugs, bots and unrewarded work for some players basically ruined any enthusiasm for the mechanic.

ok so since aisling diuval is with the empire if I pledge to her is that the same thing as joining the empire? And in extension, those high intensity conflict zones where two capital class ships fight each other, as far as personal narrative goes, would i be taking part as a member of the empire side and the empire npcs be friendly or would i be on my own
