Had the pleasure of meeting ol Cole before a little listening room show with Nicholas Jamerson - it was probably 9pm and he ordered him a black coffee at the bar. He was a kind and warm guy. He played about 3 songs and an obnoxiously drunk lady yelled out “PLAY A HAPPY SONG!” Cole’s reply was quick and perfect.. “wrong set, lady.” Hope he gets big time recognition for his voice and songwriting but for the sake of his heart, I hope the fame doesn’t change him a bit.
