Bluboo S8 Smartphone - Opinion After 5 Days Hands-On Use

I've been using this phone for 5 days now as my main device and I think my mind is pretty much made up on what I like and what I don't like.

I also reviewed this phone, just in all black, which I think is more beautiful. The ads on the lock screen ONLY come if you enable "Power Master" under Display>Charging lock screen. By default this isn't enabled, so you must have enabled it yourself. "Power Master" is not the stock charging screen, but a third party app, and that's why it will display ads. When using the stock charging screen, it will the first time show some charging tips, after you scroll through these, they will not be displayed again. Btw. do yours have scratches on the back? Mine got that just after few days, and I find it pretty annoying that I always have to be careful about that.

Woukd like to share a way to switch Bluboo S8 launcher to another one.

1. On Google Play store, download and install iLauncher X or S+ Launcher
2. Start iLauncher X and goto Preferences icon.
3. You will see an button called "set as default". Swipe it ON and you will be able to select any launcher installed in your Bluboo S8 and set it as default.

Seems to work with S+ Launcher as well.
This works but does not survive to reboot.

I was just wondering, with being able to unlock the phone at any orientation with your fingerprint, if it was actually recording your fingerprint. Or could anyone with a fingerprint unlock the phone. Just my cynical mind at play.

Some of these "Dual Camera" phones actually only have one functional camera and use the software for Bokeh as you stated. Recommend in future dual camera phone reviews that you block each lens individually, take a picture with each lens individually, then one with both, to see if each actually functions.

I have noticed other inconsistencies' with modern mobiles it's the e-mail client which is included in the original set up of the phone but however hard you try you cannot remove or disable the app you can hide it but it remains there unseen and displaying notifications duplicating your own e-mail provider's notifications.

You shouldn't be getting ads have you checked for malware that's probably why you can't change launchers and got ads on the lock screen.

I have bought one of these also . I am curious about a weird noise that the phone does when we use it . The noise is like a static noise and lasts for about 2 to 3 seconds . Do you ear it also in your phone ?

Your reviews are great. Is it possible to use any of these phones in the USA as a phone? I have found they don't support my carrier for voice calling or texting, ( Data) which is one of the major ones, and I am thinking all these "awesome" Chinese phones are not US compatible. Have I missed something?

hi first of all thank you. you make things a lot easy to understand . i am from Austria and i wanna buy a new smartphone but still under 150 dollars or euros any ways i want a big big screen and fast and durable actually i m thinking of xiaomi redmi 5 plus but i want more recommendations please answer asap ! gives you a dirty lens with each unlock.
