I used to live about 1 hour from their plant, Bryan was not that far away. I can remember when they shut down because of listeria, the more they cleaned the worse it got until they found the true cause. If memory serves it was the drains that were the problem.

I had some of the recalled ice cream but we ate it anyways, never got sick from it.

I went 2 months ago to texas and try it at a gas station blue bell it was so good and the omg the Ice-cream is so cheap back in North Carolina any ice-cream it's expensive. But it's very hard to find any blue bell I cream they do t sell it a lot here it's very rare to find. So what location is the creamery

It's not bad... it's one of the better commercialized, mass-produced grocery store ice cream brands. The best ice cream is made at home, or bought by a local ice cream store that makes their own ice cream.

I work in the freezer aisle and im always getting customers asking for Blue Bell Ice cream and i never heard of such thing but i was told a few months before i got hired we used to have it and everyone talked about how good it was and why it was banned from the store it was something along those lines of broken glass found inside the ice cream they had a recall and never heard of again. Once every couple full moons my partner talks about how good the ice cream is since he worked in the freezer isle for 15 years and it felt like being in a camp fire listening to ghost stories. almost 4 years later as of Today Blue Bell ice cream is back in stock on the end cap full of tubs $6.89 and i decided to grab strawberry cheesecake and ran home quick as possible since it was 24 degrees i knew the ice cream was fine. I got my expensive ice cream scoop only reserved for expensive ice cream i rinse the scoop in hot water got perfect shapes every time, started drooling and the moment of truth was upon me. Best ice cream i ever had making blue bunny, breyers, hagendaz, ben jerry ice cream look like its made for young kids who can't tell the difference from high rich quality ice cream vs air added *cough* breyers. Right now i feel like a kid again

My favorite is Butter Pecan ice cream. So far it's the brand with natural flavor. I have tried other expensive brands of Pecan and it's has an undesirable taste.
