I'd love to see AA games make a comeback, but this is definitely one example on how not to do that on both the dev and publisher side of things.

I'm not saddened by this at all. I was a contractor for Reflector (the studio behind this game) and they were HORRIBLE.
That experience was beyond chaotic because nobody there had a clear vision of what they wanted, despite this they were putting inhuman pressure for things to progress, and to top it all they didn't want to pay for the work.

Despicable company getting exactly what they deserve as far as I'm concerned.

The best part of the failure is that Both U9A and Concord were meant to launch entire universes with a large add-on media of other types. Schadenfreude!

I saw a video of someone who speaks the language NPCs talk in and apparently it's complete gibberish taken from online videos (mostly 'chicken chicken chicken' over and over again) so you know no one involved gave a single shit

You forgot to mention that the co-founders of SBI, Kim Belair and David Bedard are in charge of this game. David is the brand content manager at Reflector Games and Kim is listed as the Story Architect.

Toss it next to Immortals of Aveum. Double A game devs need to think like indie devs and not Triple A devs. Take the risks that Triple A devs won't take but small indie devs don't have the resources for.

It’s very sad that the game’s title perfectly describes mostly everyone’s knowledge of the game itself.
