I'm a Christian and a therapist. This song captures the divide, the distance that so many souls feel because of the lack of unconditional love and grace and mercy from their own family of origin. Sadly, God wears their parents' masks. He is not like them. He is altogether loving, a see-er and responder and comforter of their hearts. But we can't feel this so easily when there has been trauma. And we can't risk reaching for it. May all who listen to this song be freed up from their loneliness, despair, self-contempt; may they reach for the Living God who wants to be present, who wants them to know that Jesus made a way for them; that His righteousness covers them. So my grandmother got hit by a car like years ago but she never really paid attention to it because she never experienced effects at that time. But years later she started experiencing leg problems, she has been to various hospitals (public and private) as a result she can’t even do basic activities on her own. She is slowly losing faith.
I just ask that you guys keep her in your prayers as well as any other person out there who is experiencing something similar (would really mean a lot)
