im trying to create an add-on that will "listen" for a create event in google calendar, and when an event is being created and the participant field has been filled the addon popup will appear (after sending the participant email to a third party API) with insights about the participant (info from said third party API)
is this possible with google workspace add-ons? will this course help me create this idea?

Hi Scott, I have a quick question.

I need to create a script using Google Apps Script that works with Google Docs Documents. What this script is supposed to do is that it creates menu with item and when item is clicked it opens a sidebar. There are a few buttons and each button calls a certain function (These functions communicate with some external API written in Python (Not sure if this affects anything)). Now, I've managed to do this but I would open a specific Google Docs Document go to Extensions -> Apps Script -> Write code & it would work for that document, however, I need to make this script available in all of my Google Docs Documents and also to provide it to my friends so that when they install it, this menu, item, sidebar & buttons with these functions appears in their Google Docs Documents aswell. I've been messing around with this a bit but can't seem to find the solution. Also, my script requires further work, so is it a good practice and is it possible to publish an add-on now and then when I add new functionalities just to republish it again and again?
Btw I do not need for my script to be public nor accessible by others rather than just few of my friends so I would somehow like to skip the entire reviewing process by Google and stuff.

I am quite new to Apps Script and eventho what you talk about in the video sounds familiar, I just wanted to check, would I be able to achieve what I specified above by following your course?
