Yaesu do love the 90s stereo aesthetic but the specs look great, will sell well. Form factor looks better than 705.

Thank you for the preview. I absolutely love my Yaesu 818ND, FT-991A, and FT-710. However, I might have to pass on this one. My IC-705 was an impressive investment with the addition of an AH-705, a tag-along ID-52 and several high capacity batteries. At least until I learn more, my use case just does not give me enough reason to take the plunge. If I had not purchased the IC-705 and painfully waited for this rig…..maybe. But then I would have missed years of great portable QRP contacts that I really believe would have been missed out on with my 818.

Operation in SSB, CW, AM, FM and C4FM digital modes SDR Technology.
Two independent receiver circuits provide true simultaneous dual-band operation, whether in the same band or in different bands.
An optional Automatic Antenna Tuner can be attached to the rear of the transceiver with the 5670mAh high-capacity Li-ion battery pack.
The optional Cooling-fan, which is necessary for comfortable FT8 operation, can also be combined with the antenna tuner.
USB ports support CAT operation, audio input/output and TX control.
Touchscreen with 3DSS
